Our Story

I’m a dad with three grown kids.  I’ve been taking care of my family’s swimming pools for over 30 years. Like you, I take pride in having a very clean pool for my family and friends to enjoy.  That means maintaining the right chemistry balance, skimming, vacuuming, brushing and back-washing the filter when needed.

I never considered the skimming, chemistry or vacuuming painful exercises.  But the brushing, ah the brushing; the bane of my existence!  Creating a mess for the filter to clean-up and never able to get into the edges and corners to effectively clean.  Then having to flush the filter constantly because it gets clogged with the algae and fine sediment that the brush kicks up in the water.

Early summer 2022, after moving my daughter in Philly for the fourth time!, I came home to a pool in need of some love.  I skimmed the ran the robot vacuum, and as you know, the haphazard pattern left behind required further attention.  I DID NOT want to deploy the brush!  I had an idea to wrap an old rag around the brush head, affix the brush head to the pole and use the brush as a duster. DuckyWrap was born!  It did an amazing job.  Absorbed the algae and fine sediment without kicking-up a plume into the water.  With a quick rinse of the hose it was ready for another use.

After the success of that first primitive wrap, my 86 year young mom (absolute wizard on the sewing machine) and I set about to create 40 more prototypes; improving DuckyWrap’s design as we went along. All the local fabric stores got a kick out of the two of us shopping for the exact right materials.  I gave hundreds of demonstrations to friends with above-ground and in-ground smooth bottom pools, and pool professionals.  They were all very impressed with how DuckyWrap preformed and agreed they hadn’t seen this idea before.  I prepared and submitted a non-provisional utility patent application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Now it’s your turn to give DuckyWrap a try.  It is my hope you enjoy using DuckyWrap as much as I had creating it.

Thank you.
