Our Story
I’m a dad with three grown kids. I’ve been taking care of my family’s swimming pool for over 30 years. Like you, I take pride in having a very clean pool for my family and friends to enjoy. That means maintaining the right chemistry balance, skimming, vacuuming, brushing and cleaning the filter when needed.
I never considered the skimming, chemistry or vacuuming painful exercises. But brushing is the bane of my existence! Creating a mess for the filter to clean-up and never able to get into the edges and corners to effectively clean. Then having to flush the filter constantly because it gets clogged with the algae and fine sediment that the brush kicks up in the water.
After being away early summer 2022, I came home to a pool in need of some attention. I skimmed and ran the robot vacuum; the haphazard pattern left behind required further cleaning. I DID NOT want to deploy the brush! I had an idea to wrap a special cloth around the brush head, affix the brush head to the pole and use the brush as a duster. DuckyWrap was born! It did an amazing job. Absorbed the algae and fine sediment without kicking-up a plume into the water. With a quick rinse of the hose it was ready for another use.
After the success of that first wrap, my 86 year young mom (absolute wizard on the sewing machine) and I set about to create 40 more prototypes; improving DuckyWrap’s design as we went along. We visited several local fabric stores shopping for the exact right materials. I gave hundreds of demonstrations to friends with above-ground and in-ground smooth bottom pools, and pool professionals. They were all very impressed with how DuckyWrap preformed and agreed they hadn’t seen this idea before. I prepared and submitted a non-provisional utility patent application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I sought out the finest manufacturing partners in the world in order to provide the best possible pool duster. Now it’s your turn to give DuckyWrap a try. It is my hope you enjoy using DuckyWrap as much as I had creating it.
Thank you.
